Security Certified Network Professional - SCNP
Security Certified Network Professional - SCNP
The Security Certified Program (SCP) focuses on the skills that network
administrators and IT professionals need to complete network security related
tasks.
Network Security is a major concern for every business, no matter their size.
Data theft, loss of productivity and decreased profits are unfortunately
commonplace due to security breaches. Security professionals are trained to
think proactively. The SCP certifications provide a solid knowledge of both
defensive network security systems and the trusted needs of security.
The SCNP program is all about defense. The two critical areas of defense are
Firewalls and Intrusion Detection. The up-to-date security lessons and the
hands-on labs bring the security networking world to the candidates. There are
two exams to complete the SCNP certification.
These exams are designed to validate the skills required by security
professionals. The skills needed are: Intrusion Detection Systems Design and
Implementation, Network Traffic Signatures, Security Policy, Risk Analysis,
Firewall Design and Implementation, Router Security, Operating System Security,
Advanced Knowledge of the TCP suite, and Network Security Basics.
Prerequisite for this certification is Security+ or equivalent
