Microsoft MCSA / MCSE / MCDBA (Triple Cert)

Microsoft Certified System Administrators - MCSA - 2003

Microsoft Certified Systems Administrators (MCSAs) administer network and systems environments based on the Microsoft Windows® platforms. The MCSA credential proves that you have the skills to successfully implement, manage, and troubleshoot the ongoing needs of Microsoft Windows® 2000 and 2003–based operating environments, including Windows .NET Server.

An MCSA candidate should have 12 months of experience working with a desktop operating system, a network operating system, and an existing network infrastructure.

MCSA candidates are required to pass three core exams and one elective exam. IT Centers offers the following exams and textbooks for this certification:

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - MCSE - 2003

The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) credential is the premier certification for professionals who analyze the business requirements and design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows® 2003 servers. Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems.

The MCSE certification is appropriate for:

  • Systems engineers
  • Technical support engineers
  • Systems analysts
  • Network analysts
  • Technical consultants

An MCSE candidate should have at least one year of experience implementing and administering a network operating system in environments with the following characteristics:

  • 200 to 26,000 supported users
  • Five to 150 physical locations
  • Typical network services and applications including file and print, database, messaging, proxy server or firewall, dial-in server, desktop management, and Web hosting
  • Connectivity needs including connecting individual offices and users at remote locations to the corporate network and connecting corporate networks to the Internet

In addition, an MCSE candidate should have at least one year of experience in the following areas:

  • Implementing and administering a desktop operating system
  • Designing a network infrastructure

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) candidates on the Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003 track are required to pass six core exams and one elective exam.

Microsoft Certified Database Administrator - MCDBA

The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 credential is the premier certification for professionals who implement and administer Microsoft SQL Server™ databases. The certification is appropriate for individuals who derive physical database designs, develop logical data models, create physical databases, create data services by using Transact-SQL, manage and maintain databases, configure and manage security, monitor and optimize databases, and install and configure SQL Server.

The MCDBA on SQL Server 2000 Certification Is Appropriate For:

  • Database administrators
  • Database analysts
  • Database developers

MCDBA on SQL Server 2000 candidates should have at least one year of experience working with SQL Server.
